GETTING YELLOW PICTURES!!!

I am shooting with a Nikon D60 - stock lens - macro mode - macro filter - UV filter - Daylight lights - Photo tent.

Photos of jewelry are coming out yellow when downloaded to my cpu.  How do I get normal color photos with what I'm using??

Re: GETTING YELLOW PICTURES!!!

Hey Mr Williams are you using photoshop?  If you are happy with the image quality, and want the correct color there are several ways to approach this.  First being, make sure that your white balance is set correctly, this can be done from the menu.  If you are using incandescent  or fluorescent daylights would be important.  The white balance can select one of a few choices but that will certainly make a difference. if you plan to use photoshop, I'd suggest shooting in raw format, this provides an easy way to adjust white balance after the shot has been taken.  The rest should be fine.  I really would suggest getting a actual macro lens, we use AF Micro Nikkor 60mm.

Jewelry photography is a learning process, very very very few have mastered it.  I certainly am not one of them. But we do try hard and I believe that every question is valid one.
